Dual mode for gap and force adjustment

• The EXAKT electronic models use two adjustment modes to control the roller nips (and thus also the dispersion performance):                

  - Gap mode -- setting of a defined gap between the rollers (display in µm)

  - Force mode -- setting of a defined line pressure between the rollers (display of the specific line pressure in N/mm) The set operating parameters for the line pressure in force mode are monitored and regulated constantly
• The roller nips can be set independently of one another in gap or force mode
• During operation, the operator can change the selected mode of the roller gap

Automatic roller adjustment for the highest reproducibility

 

The unique calibration system re-adjusts the rollers with respect to one another each time the machine is switched on. If required, this re-adjustment can also take place after heating of the rollers. In this way, the precise gap size, parallelism of the rollers to one another, and highest reproducibility are guaranteed. Force sensors on the roller axes coupled with precise servo motors keep the roller alignment constant.
