Individual recipes are on the advance worldwide. Disease patterns are becoming more varied, people are increasingly reacting with intolerance to particular materials. Therefore, special combinations of ingredients are being prescribed more frequently, which are tailored to these people and their needs.
Precisely for individual manufacture, there are high expectations for the quality of an ointment. The quality arises not just from the quality of the individual ingredients, but also from the processing procedure. Thanks to its material and construction, the EXAKT 50 ensures you the finest results in pharmaceutical ointment production. In contrast to mixing procedures, all individually-produced types of ointments can be manufactured with the EXAKT 50. This means that it is suitable both for highly-concentrated suspension ointments as well as for emulsion ointments. The use of the EXAKT 50 in more than 30,000 pharmacies worldwide proves this impressively.
Suspension ointments
The homogenization performance of the EXAKT 50 is impressive: thanks to the three porcelain rollers that press against each other with individually-adjustable roller gaps, the ingredients are distributed evenly and finely so that the final product is de-aerated and powder nests are reduced to a minimum. The ointment thus has an especially active ingredient surface since this surface is larger. The high-quality materials of the rollers are gas-impermeable and not hygroscopic; this means that they prevent the absorption of the substances used.

Emulsion ointments
Naturally the outstanding homogenization performance of the EXAKT 50 is also demonstrated during the manufacture of emulsion ointments. Since the roller distances can be adjusted perfectly to the substances, different components in which the powder is already dissolved are easy to mix in. Thanks to the even deaeration, the result is an especially finely-structured ointment, which is absorbed easily by the skin.
Production process
Thanks to the open roller system, the homogenization and dispersion process can be controlled directly. The particle size can be adjusted perfectly to different substances due to the individually-adjustable distance between the porcelain rollers. With an optional speed control, which regulates the rotation speed of the rollers, it is possible to pay special attention to the viscosity of the product. If the product fineness does not produce the desired result after a first pass, the process can be repeated again quickly and easily without material loss.

With the EXAKT 50, you can process up to 7 kg of a particular substance per hour with a fineness of approx. 20µm. Naturally we also have higher-performance models, which achieve a still-greater fineness and can process larger quantities. After use, the machines and rollers can be cleaned easily with the appropriate cleansers and solvents. Of course all mills work quietly and reliably. For in the end, quality "made in Germany" stands for long service life and optimal service in all respects.
