This is how a three roll mill works

The pasty substance is fed into the hopper, where it is drawn between the feeding and centre rollers in the first step. When it has been pre-dispersed there, the substance sticks to the bottom of the center roller, which transports it to the second roller gap. In this gap, the paste is dispersed to the desired degree of fineness. The scraper system removes the finished product from the delivery roller.
