Scraper system
General functions of the universal scraper system
- Variable outlet
- Spring loaded scraper socket, no re-adjustment necessary during operation
- Scraper force adjustable
- PFA coating (optional) for the improvement of the product flow and easier cleaning
The improved scraper system of the EXAKT 120 E also has the following functions:
- Self-aligning scraper knife
- Damped scraper knife application
- Adjustable scraper angle
- Replacement of the scraper knife without tools
Off switch in antenna form
In order to enable a quick stop when you are operating the machine without a hopper, optional off switches in the form of antennas are available for the area around the rear roller gap.
Control panel
On all EXAKT 120 E models, the control panel can be mounted towards the front or the back of the machine. Especially in combination with the machine support stand, easy loading and operation of the machine is possible from both sides.
Speed control
Speed control with a frequency converter offers optimum performance. The constant torque across the entire speed range enables the optimized processing of products of varying viscosity and temperature sensitivity.
Draw-in guard (Nip Guard)
As an alternative to the stainless steel hopper, it is possible to use a Nip Guard / hand guard above the rear draw-in gap. Like the stainless steel hopper, it is equipped with a safety switch.
Rollers that can be cooled and heated
Various EXAKT three roll mills are equipped with an open circuit internal circulation system for heating or cooling the rollers (optional for the EXACT 120 S). It is easy to heat the rollers up to 60°C, or up to 100°C on request. If there is no source with cooling or heating medium available, EXAKT offers the appropriate accessories.
Closed Circuit Cooling
Some Exakt three roll mills can be equipped with closed circuit cooling for cooling and heating the rollers. The ability of the machine to cool and heat is thus increased by up to one third as compared to an open cooling system.
Solvent dispenser
Some products tend to dry out in the area of the product guides due to increased friction heat. The solvent dispenser can be used to prevent this. Near the limiting chops, it adds solvent to the product in order to ensure constant product fineness and to prevent drying out.
PFA-coated scraper socket
For improved flow of the product on the scraper socket. This also simplifies cleaning: Cleaning time and materials are reduced. This type of coating is approved for food contact and metal-free. The use of plastic spatulas is recommended.
